Inaugural Mass of the Holy Spirit
On October 8, 2025, Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata celebrated a truly historic and grace-filled day with the first inaugural Mass of the Holy Spirit, presided over by Bishop Robert Reed. This beautiful liturgy marked a foundational moment in the life of the new high school, as the community gathered in prayer to entrust its mission, students, and future to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The Mass was made even more special by another meaningful “first”: the Chesterton Academy choir sang publicly for the very first time. Their sacred music filled the church with reverence and joy, reflecting the Academy’s commitment to forming students in truth, goodness, and beauty. For many in attendance, the choir’s debut was a moving reminder of how faith and the arts are woven into the heart of a classical Catholic education.
Students, faculty, families, and supporters came together for this joyful celebration, united in gratitude and hope at the beginning of the Academy’s journey. Bishop Reed’s presence and leadership affirmed the school’s mission and offered encouragement as Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata continues to grow as a community rooted in the Catholic faith.
Following the Mass, Bishop Reed presided over a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking an important milestone in the Academy’s development. The moment symbolized both new beginnings and the strong foundation being laid for generations of students to come.
The Mass was followed by a luncheon shared with the Chesterton Academy community of supporters, including benefactors, parents, board members, and friends of the school. The gathering was filled with fellowship, celebration, and heartfelt conversations about the Chesterton’s mission and future.
Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata is deeply thankful to Bishop Robert Reed and to all who helped make this day such a memorable and meaningful beginning.
